The latest beta release of Safari for Windows (3.0.2) is slightly better than the first release of Safari for Windows (3.0). I just want to remind people that it's still in beta. Beta means it's bugged and flawed. As of right now, Safari is still slower than IE and much slower than Firefox. As for security, it doesn't come close to Firefox or IE.

While I applaud Apple for making Safari available for Windows, I have to admit that if I had an Apple computer, I'd still use Firefox. This doesn't affect my dream of one day owning a Mac. I'm just being honest. Safari, even on a Mac, isn't the best of browsers. Though, I have to admit, some websites do look better in Safari for Windows. But that's just because it's emulating the way Macs look at things. Firefox on a Mac would look just as good and would function better.

The Transformers movie is nearly here, and I am still not happy about Hayden Christensen playing a whiny, obsessive, and psychotic Young Optimus Prime. Just by looking at him in the suit, you can tell they're not even trying to at least make him seem the same height as the original.

TV's 'Mr. Wizard' Don Herbert dies at 89

Growing up, there wasn't a week that didn't go by where I didn't get in trouble by trying to do something that I saw on his show, "Mr. Wizard's World" "Mr. Wizard's World" ran on Nickelodeon from 1983 to 1991 (with reruns to 2000 making it the longest running show on Nickeloden). Don Herbert was more famous for his 1951 to 1972 show, "Watch Mr. Wizard". There was also a Canadian revival, "Mr. Wizard" which ran from 1971 to 1975.

After being sick for the last few days, I thought I'd start a new video last night in hopes of feeling better. Of course, I can't say what the video is about, but it shouldn't take too long to complete.

Last night, I also watched Pulse. What can I say? Well, for almost an hour, it wasn't bad. Then it quickly fell apart. The characters became cliches, the whole internet part of the story became stupid, and the ending was hurried and typical Hollywood. It is a waste of a movie, and Wes Craven, co-writer, should be ashamed. To be honest, for a while there, I really thought they had something, an idea, a good idea. But they ruined it.

I think they could have made a better movie if, and this applies in general to films... Do character development and give up this notion of a 80 something minute movie. Drop the internet from the plot. People familiar with the internet get thrown out of stories when the internet lingo is made-up or misused and thrown around just for effect. Stop trying to wrap up a movie so that everything is explained. It's okay to confuse an audience and leave them guessing. Stop going for PG-13. If you're creepy and spooky, that's fine. You can do that very well in the realm of PG-13. Having having half-gore, half-violence, and half-scares just to keep it PG-13 is wrong. It leaves you thinking you missed something. And finally, Pulse is a remake of a Japaneses film, Kairo. If you are going to do that, do it exactly like the Japanese version, and if possible, hire the same director. Personally, I think you should just release the Japanese version in America.

Of course, Hollywood is still going to keep churning out the same kind of movies because they keep making money.

So dark, the con of man...

    Buy my book.
From a Hole in the Sky

13 Stories of Horror, Madness, and Religion make up this dark-kudzu collection. A city run by angels with demanding burial rites. A white van jostling with clowns and warnings about sleep. A weeping pastor with a dead man in a boat. Homicide, Suicide, Jesus, and The Devil. To join a family, you're going to need some stitches. Kids today on their way to cut grass and play cowboys and injuns'. A hole in the ground where poor John Henry met a foul ending. And unholy birthing machines with a chosen one. All this and more. Where do bad things come from? They come FROM A HOLE IN THE SKY.
